In the development of our "Outdoor Bathrooms," we have been strongly guided by the wishes and needs of our customers and their guests. Through that consultation, we have concluded that it is better to invest a bit more in sustainability than to try to find the cheapest possible solution. Private sanitation is about the guest experience, efficiency, and lifespan, where installation, maintenance, and cleaning costs also play a role.

Heating, insulation, and ventilation

On the campsite, you want your guests to stay comfortably. The walls and roof of the Roomplus sanitary units for the campsite are made of 8cm thick water-resistant sandwich panels also used in the construction of homes and commercial buildings (lifespan of at least 15 to 25 years). The thermal insulation is excellent, so the sanitary units do not turn into a sauna in summer and remain pleasantly warm in winter with the standard built-in electric radiator. We were able to test this nicely in the winter of 2020/21 with our demo unit. At -14˚C and a thick layer of snow on the roof, you could comfortably shower inside our shower unit. The good mechanical ventilation prevents the space from staying humid, even when it's chilly outside. So, no issues with mold and weather-related stains.

Roomplus® floor: concrete in one piece

The floor of the toilet buildings and shower units is cast in one piece in special anthracite gray sanitary unit concrete, including the beautiful elongated drain under the shower. So no 'built-up' shower tray, a recipe for dirty edges. On the advice of experts from the hotel industry, we have chosen tempered safety glass partition walls, precisely because you can see every spot on them.
This way you can also see that the glass is spotless. A campsite operator gave us the tip to mount the walls floating, so that water can run underneath them.
This allows you to clean the floor in one go and dry it off.

Top quality toilet buildings and shower units at the campsite

It is often seen that the builders of sanitary units opt for cheap toilet bowls, shower faucets, and accessories. We do not find this smart, as top-quality porcelain has a denser glaze layer, making it difficult for limescale and dirt to adhere. And a bathroom cabinet with a high-quality stainless steel sink can last up to twice as long without the wood warping or the steel scratching and rusting. Our goal was to create a toilet building and shower unit for the campsite that a five-star hotel does not need to be ashamed of. A (private) sanitary unit that can serve maintenance-free for many years, for lower life cycle costs and better long-term returns.

Roomplus® sanitary units are modular

An important advantage of the Roomplus sanitary units is that you can place the cubic modules in many different ways. Each sanitary unit has three 'blind' walls of equal length, allowing you to easily place them against each other. Back to back, alternating in a row, or with four at a time in a carousel arrangement, in the middle between four spots. The units weigh 1200 (Compact) to 1700 kilos (Royal), but the concrete floor has recesses for the spoons of a shovel or telehandler. If the connections are made according to the construction drawing, you can easily connect the sanitary units.

No, our outdoor bathrooms are also often used as shared sanitary facilities. It is also possible to modularly create a sanitary building. Thanks to the clever (square) design, the sanitary units can be connected on three sides, allowing a sanitary block to be quickly and easily created. The great advantage is that you remain flexible. The outdoor bathrooms can always be used elsewhere later on, as they are not bound to the ground.

Sure. In our modular concept, we have the DuoToilet and DuoShower, but also the DuoCombi where toilet and shower are separated.

Indeed, because they are very high-quality insulated, they are easy to keep frost-free. The standard electric heating also has a thermostat and a frost setting. However, we do recommend installing the bathrooms with a vertical frost edge in the ground to prevent frost from penetrating under the floor. This can be easily done by placing a strip of special insulation vertically under the floor during installation. And if you have purchased the bathroom with a washing area on the outside, it goes without saying that it should be taken out of use during the frost period.

They will be delivered to your location by our regular carrier. We will unload them ourselves. However, you are expected to place them on your premises in the desired location.

Yes and no. We have Duo units for our shared solutions, see the different models for that. For use as private sanitary facilities, we have deliberately chosen not to make fixed Duo units for that. You can easily do this yourself if desired. In addition, you can also determine the layout yourself and decide on which side the door is desired. You can also change this layout again in the future.

Our outdoor bathrooms are equipped with spoon recesses. This allows you to easily pick up and transport the sanitary unit with a machine, forklift, shovel, or telehandler.

By default, our sanitary units are fully electric and equipped with an electric supply for hot water, LED lighting, both mechanical and natural ventilation, and of course heating. To use the bathroom, you need water, electricity (230A - 10A), and a connection to the sewer system.

There are several ways to recoup your investment in a sanitary unit, although this naturally also depends on your situation and your business model. We are happy to think along with you in this! Due to the long lifespan of our outdoor bathrooms, this quickly turns out to be beneficial.
